Raindrop Technique Massage

Young Living’s proprietary Raindrop Technique® combines unique, targeted massage and energy approaches with pure, authentic essential oils for a deeply harmonizing, rejuvenating, and relaxing experience. The technique, developed by Young Living Founder and CEO D. Gary Young, draws from his experience with Lakota wellness traditions and provides a revolutionary means of nurturing harmony—physically, mentally, and emotionally.

This treatment is a massage of sorts. Gentle touch. I hold the shoulders to align my body with yours (hope that's not too hippy) and get in the zone. It allows you to get used to my touch and get your head in the zone. I often ask my clients to release any thought that is preventing relaxation. Put it in a balloon bubble. Let it float to just outside the door until the treatment is over. Allow your body and mind a tiny bit of respite from it.

I then hold your feet and align with them. Ensure the whole body is flowing and open. Then the good stuff begins. I apply a base oil (plain, non smelly) oil to your feet and layer essential oils and vita flex them into the spinal channel of the foot. In English - I use this funky finger tip rolling technique that acts like a mother switch. It turns the main drive off then back on again, affecting all the nerve endings, affecting the spinal channel in reflexology (the inside line of the foot) It does feel strange to begin with but once you get used to it, your mind really closes off. It's beautiful. You are all wrapped up toastie warm with electric blanket underneath you and fluffy, thick towels on top of you.

You then get a front of leg massage, I turn you over and you get a back of leg massage then I carry on with the Raindrop Technique on the back. Nice, generous application of non smelly oil first then layering of specific essential oils to the spine. Gentle manipulations of the spine and the muscles surrounding the spine to allow it to relax, let go of the postural clinches that it deals with daily. The nerve endings gobble up the essential oils and it carries them throughout the whole of the body. Amazing. I do add in some shoulder work and lower back work, as I know what our lives are like and most people need a bit of that too.

Some people have described this treatment like to ebbing of the wave on the sea. Gently enveloping you, allowing your mind to float away to a calmer place.

Physically, the oils will work on the skeletal system, the muscular system, the nervous system. It will you give you a great detox, flush out all the stagnant nasties that lay about making us tired.

Emotionally, it can detox too. If you want that, and allow it to happen.

A must try for all massage lovers.
